Hudson River
Corridor Familiarization Course:
"The
New York City Tour." This two hour
flight and classroom session will teach you the
basics of how to navigate the Hudson River safely and expertly
whether it be a day or night operation. You owe it to
yourself to learn the "ins and outs" of this most spectacular
flight. This is why we became pilots! No pilot
should miss out on flying the Hudson River.
Course Mission Details:
-
Classroom Briefing:
During the classroom briefing you will cover all the details
necessary to fly what we call: "The Hudson River Mission."
These
details
will include everything from pre-flight, how to ask
for a New York City Tour Clearance, the best way to navigate
to the Hudson River from Islip, MacArthur Airport,
communications with ATC along the way, and so on.
There are many different ways to fly this mission. We
will devise a plan that best suits your comfort and
experience level.
-
Flying
the Mission: An FAA Certified Instructor will then fly
the mission with you. This can be done in your
aircraft or in a Heritage Flight Academy aircraft. The
flight usually takes about one hour. This is a great
opportunity for you to ask questions along the way and to
reinforce everything you learned in the ground briefing.
This flight will also qualify you to rent HFA aircraft so
you can "take-up" family or friends.
Please give us a call so
we can further discuss all the details and answer any questions.
You can reach HFA at 800.786.9060
or via e-mail at
info@heritageflightacademy.com.
We look forward to hearing from you.
